At Markenfield we welcome visitors with disabilities and try to ensure that they see as much of the Hall as possible.

The following information is designed to help make up your own mind as to whether Markenfield Hall would make a suitable day out for yourself or your companion.

If you require any additional information please contact us

PARKING - Car Drivers with disabled passengers are welcome to use the drop off point at the front door of the house.

WHEELCHAIR ACCESS - There is level access from the car park to the Hall should you not wish to use the drop off point. There is wheelchair access to the Inner Courtyard, Undercroft and Inner Hall.

THE FIRST FLOOR - It is with regret that we are unable to offer help to wheelchair users in reaching the first floor. A book containing detailed photographs of the Great Hall, Chapel and Moat Walk is available in the Undercroft for wheelchair users and those unable to reach the first floor.

VISUAL IMPAIRMENT - Large print versions of the room information sheets are available in the Undercroft, Great Hall and the Chapel. A sensory sheet is also available for those with severe visual impairment, although it is designed to be used with a companion to assist.

Refreshments are not available at Markenfield Hall.
