Thursday 24 July at 7:30pm The Friends of Markenfield Summer Concert. Mean Time: an early music ensemble will play a programme of music entitled Red Intentions. Tickets are priced at £10 for Members of The Friends of Markenfield and £12 for non Members. The ticket price includes refreshments in the interval. Performances at 2:30pm and 7:30pm Ripon International Festival present the Consort 1700 Programme including music by Handel and Geminiani by soloists Martyn Shaw - baroque flute Emma Dixon - baroque cello and Charlotte Wilson - harpsichord. Monday 8 December at 8:00pm Christmas at Markenfield, a Service of Lessons and Carols in aid of the Ripon Grammar School Development Fund. (The School was founded by Sir Thomas Markenfield of Markenfield and others in 1555). Conducted by Canon Keith Punshon with the Ebor Singers directed by Dr Paul Gameson.
