Service of Blessing
|
Markenfield is uniquely placed in having a beautiful Mediaeval Chapel at its heart. The Chapel of St Michael the Archangel is available for couples who wish to hold a Service of Blessing following their Civil Ceremony. A Service of Blessing (or Dedication) allows a couple who have chosen not to marry in a Church, but who still have a desire to link their marriage commitment to their commitment to their faith, to do so in a beautiful and historical Chapel within the Hall itself. Both Catholic and Anglican services are regularly held in the Chapel, and a Blessing in either faith can be arranged. Should you wish to bring your own Celebrant they would be more than welcome. |

The Chapel does not have an organ for music, however live musicians can be accommodated or a CD can be played. It is unusual for hymns to be sung during a Service of Blessing, however readings can be included as can special prayers that you may wish to request. |
