Rarely open to the public until 2001, this year the Hall can be visited by the public on just 28 afternoons - or as part of an organised group at almost any other time.

2009 Opening

Every day from 3rd to 16th May and 14th to 27th June.

Times - 2pm - 5pm (last entry 4.30pm).

Entrance includes - access to the Inner Courtyard, Undercroft, Great Hall, Chapel, Four Poster Bedroom and Moat Walk.

Charge - £4 per adult and £3 for children / concessions

From 2006 the public will be able to see the Four Poster Bedroom. Formerly the main portion of the Solar.

Regretfully, refreshments are not availiable at Markenfield Hall.

 

FINDING US:

The entrance to Markenfield is off the A61, approximately 3 miles south of Ripon or 600 yards north of the Garden Centre at Markington Crossroads. PLEASE CLICK HERE TO SEE A MAP (multimap)

The entrance is between two low stone walls on the west side of the road, each wall bearing a dark green sign bearing "Markenfield Hall". The drive is one mile long.
